Kerem publishes a limited number of short stories and poems in each issue.
We are particularly interested in the following types of contributions:
Photographs and photographic essays with Jewish themes

Calling New Poets
Announcing a new section on Jewish poetry by high school students! Kerem invites high school students to submit up to two (2) poems by March 1, 2011. Submission fee: $5.00. All submitters will receive a free copy of Kerem. Submit your poems by email to: keremnewpoets@gmail.com. Include your name, address, high school, and grade in your cover note.
Other Guidelines:
Articles should be no more than 20,000 words.
No book reviews are accepted.
Articles and creative writing should have strong Jewish content.
Because Kerem is a labor of love on the part of its editors and writers, no remuneration for accepted manuscripts is possible. Also, regrettably, response time is usually substantial, on average 3-5 months; please bear with us. We cannot reprint previously published work or work that will be published elsewhere prior to its publication in Kerem. We will consider work that has been accepted for publication in a forthcoming full-length anthology.
